Aidan on the boat house

During the summer we had the opportunity to spend sometime in Mont-saint marie at a friends cottage. But I never took the time to post any images for friends and family to see. Heres a picture of Aidan on the boat house, right before he went into in the inflatable dingy that gets towed behind the Sea doo. He had a blast being that dingy thingy but said that the middle seat was kinda scary.

Oh no we’re Hockey parents

Thank god there's a Timmies (Tim Hortons is a coffee shop - for my American friends) not too far from where we live, it makes the whole notion of getting up at an un-godly hour in the morning on the weekend, just that much more bearable. Ok rant aside, it's really quite entertaining to be honest. Comon seriously how can you not find a gaggle of 5,6 and 7 yrs olds suited up in the latest high tech body armour doing battle on the ice chasing a puck around for an hour each morning on the weekends. What usually takes place ...

And so it begins

My god what have we done !!! In our infinite wisdom and ignorance. We have started Aidan down the dark and winding path into the sub culture of the Boarders. Perhaps we should call him Aidan Boarder. Aidan successfully completed Grade 1, apparently there was a 3 hr exam. And a 500 hundred word essay. Man the demands on Grade 1ers have gotten tougher. SO he's going to Grade 2 next year. In his words "grade is harder because you have to to take away, adding to is EASY taking away is hard-right shane" I'm going to guess this is some form of high ...
