Here is part two of the design or re-design of my blog As I mentioned in a few prior posts about my blog theme re-design custom wordpress theme design make over You may by now know that I have contracted forest parks for his professional design services to do a custom wordpress theme for this blog.
The reason I am redesigning this blog is because that this being my personal blog I wanted it to have a little more personality, or a little more of my personality.
I sent forest a huge amount of image elements that I thought we might do a few things with.
Hey Forest heres a revision for you to look at. As you can tell Ive added a few elements to the whole design.
More in the area of a navigation bar Ive also included a another RSS subscribe feature i dunno maybe you can make use of that some how.
I don’t know how complicated this is going to get but I was thinking of some integrating feedburner, you know the chicklet into an Image maybe the RSS image? as well as the feedburner subscribe form as well not too sure?
I was thinking also about the nav images that I have included. I included as a reference for the design. I want to also add one for videos and maybe a podcast icon as well, Future plans and all that, oo maybe a hockey one too hockey season is just around the corner !!! So I’ll be blogging about hockey, oh and yeah cant forget music and concerts gotta some how get something in the theme related to that.
Ive also included a very rough idea for the beer box commenting form.
Ok thats all I have to add for now over to you!!!

Hey Shane,
Sorry for the delay…. I’m going to be revising the layout on Tue (sorry something popped up tomorrow (Monday) but should be around all week for changes if you want to get this moving at a faster pace.
The navigation options should be no prob. Probably best to work out exactly what you need before committing it to coding but for the visual purposes we can play around for now.
RSS and Email… I don’t quite get what you mean. Maybe you could re-explain a little in Queens English… Sometimes I don’t understand Canadian (that’s my cover up for being dumb!!!).
I’ll have to do some reading up on amending the comment form. Should be simple enough, just not done it on any themes before.

Hey Forest, no worries on the tuesday thing. What I was referring to about the rss thing, is look at the thumbnail. You’ll see an rss thing I roughed out. Using scrabble again. Actually another thing I saw that I like quite a bit was on benjamin pattons site http://benjaminpatton.com , the socialize me box in his side bar. I’m liking that alot. I was also thinking because I tend to shre pictures in flickr, that maybe we could customize how the flickr thing appears on blogs. I have some visual aid for that which I’ll send you and post here. But maybe we should keep it simple? firstly and get a workable design. Cant let my creative side get all out of control, or things will just take for ever to get done.
I was thinking about the nav elements as well. I have a few other thmes with top side nav bars Im sure I could hack and crack something togethor and get it to work on this theme?
